The conference will take place at hotel Eurotel Victoria in
Villars in the Swiss Alps.
Situated only 2 hours from Geneva, the Villars-Gryon region with its vineyards and pastures,
typical villages and world famous destinations, offers postcard Swiss charm.
Access
Villars can be reached easily by train or car. It is connected with Geneva international airport (GVA)
by a frequent train service. Note that Geneva airport is a main hub of the
easyJet low cost airline. The railway station is located
right under the airport terminal.
People coming from France might consider taking the TGV to Geneva or Lausanne (less
than 4 hours from Paris).
You can reach Villars by train. The Swiss Federal Railways
(CFF in French, SBB in German) offer direct trains from Geneva airport to Bex. Travel duration
is approximately 1:20 from Geneva and 35 minutes from Lausanne.
Note: you can also reach Villars via Aigle (the town just before Bex) and take a bus, but
going via Bex is much nicer!
When arriving in Bex (point A on map below), you must change train and take the scenic
Bex-Villars-Bretaye
railway line.
Take this train to Villars (travel duration
is 40 minutes). Villars is the final station (point B).
Timetables are available from the Swiss Federal Railways
(look for trains from Geneva airport to Villars-sur-Ollon).
When arriving in Villars (point C), you have to walk 5 minutes to reach the
Eurotel Victoriahotel.
Follow the main street (in the same direction as the train was heading) until it splits
in two. Go right (uphill) and stay on that road until you see the
hotel (point D).
